When I was younger, Vincent Price had a Halloween show and Paul Lynde used to have a Halloween special, when my parents were younger, my sister Samantha and her friends pass on the tradition of watching the Simpsons Halloween show (Treehouse of Horror) to their little ones and they send them to bed, telling them the halloween special is bloody, gory, and violent. The killing off of major characters in the Simpsons halloween special adds blood, gore, and violence to the plot and one time when we were children in New Jersey, one Halloween when my parents went out, we went trick-or-treating and Pam had me and my sisters with Melyssa, Matt, and Rebecca watch Treehouse of Horror, we ate our halloween candy and then Pam would send us off to bed since the episode we were watching was not intended for children and was not mother approved.
Every year we go trick or treating and we order our costumes although my parents tell me I’m too old to go then I get a couple of my favorite candies, like Twix, Nestle Crunch, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Milky Way, and 3 Musketeers.
