If you have the Season 10 DVD set, keep an eye out for the rare “hostage ribbons” scene towards the start!
(This episode originally aired shortly after American hostages were held captive in Kosovo, and as a result, this scene was cut for the original FOX and Global broadcasts. They only showed it once more with the scene before it went into syndication, where it was once again cut. It does not appear to have made it into foreign dubs either; note that both the French and Spanish audio tracks use English audio over this part, suggesting that they didn’t originally have it.)
I remember as a young thirteen-year-old boy, watching Lisa on Ice and I was intrigued by the part where Lisa gets a failing grade in gym and she joins one of those after-school athletic teams in order to get a passing grade. I used Lisa on Ice to inspire me to do better in gym and this one year I went with my gym class to Absecon High School for my class trip then grandma picked me up at the school during my class trip to go to Eckerd Drugs to buy a cookies and cream Twix bar.
I was in middle school and I was in seventh grade when Lisa on Ice came out
